The village of Boxted is located about 3 miles to the north of Colchester on the way to Dedham and lies between the main A 12 road to Ipswich and the A 134 to Sudbury. There is ample parking.

The Hall is a registered charity and is run by a volunteer committee. It is home to a number of local clubs and regular activities. It is also available for hire for parties and functions, with a capacity of 120 seated in rows or 100 seated at tables.
